Rev I Malongo

Moderator – Rev. Isaac M. Malongo

 

Rev. Isaac M Malongo studied at Zomba Theological College  (1998 – 2001), from where he obtained his licentiate in theology  and a Bachelor of Divinity Degree by University of Malawi. In 2013, he obtained his Master’s Degree in Theology (Systematic Theology ) at St Paul’s University in Kenya. He served as parish minister in Usisya Congregation  (2000 – 2002), Phiri (2002-2007) and Mzimba (2008-2009). He was a Lecturer at Zomba Theogical College. In 2018 he was elected Moderator-Elect, in 2020 he took the position of Synod Moderator.

Moderator-Elect – Rev R.B.Z. Msowoya

Rev Reuben B.Z. Msowoya is an ordained minister of the CCAP Synod of LIvingstonia. From 2003 -2005 he studied at University of Livingstonia from where he obtained his Licentiate (with a credit). He obtained a Diploma in Theology in 2007 from the University of Malawi. In 2010 he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Theology(with a credit) from the University of Livingstonia.  He has served in 5 congregations in the CCAP Synod of LIvingstonia, Thunduwike (2005 – 2008), Kabwiri (2010-2016), Euthini (2018-2018), Lupaso (2018-2020) and  (Katawa from 2020.). In 2020 he was elected Moderator – Elect of the CCAP Synod of Livingstonia at Chitipa.

General Secretary – Rev William B. Tembo

Rev. W.B. Tembo studied at Zomba Theological College  (2005 – 2008), from where he obtained his licentiate in theology  and a Bachelor of Divinity Degree by University of Malawi. He served as parish minister in Usisya Congregation  (2008 – 2010), Kasamba Congregation (2010-2015) and Mzuzu (2015-2020).He has a Masters of Arts in Ministry  from Minnesota Graduate School of Theology. In 2020 he was elected General Secretary.
In his role as General Secretary, he is responsible for all administrative duties including external contacts with government and partners.

Rev. J.P.V. Mwale

Deputy General Secretary – Rev. J.P.V. Mwale

Rev. Joseph P.V. Mwale earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from the University of Malawi. He proceeded to the University of Glasgow, Scotland, where he earned a Master’s degree in Theology. He lectured in New Testament at Ekwendeni College of Theology from 2004 to 2006. From 2006 to 2012 he taught New Testament and Church History at Zomba Theological College. In 2012 he was elected and in 2016 re-elected Deputy General Secretary.
In his role as Deputy General Secretary, Rev. Mwale is responsible for Human Resource Management for both local and expatriate staff. Besides this he is responsible for writing and producing all Synod minutes.
